Dear All:

I am not sure about you, but I thought the workshop yesterday went rather well. Hopefully you will have done further analysis of the Firing Range text yourself with the help of Goffman's variety of face theory, using the form specially created for this purpose. Do kindly share some of your annotations of this text on the page for Topic 3 as a way of reviewing our learning, and indeed reinforcing it somehow in a creative and imaginative way.

We are deepening our learning about face theory with an overview of scholarship leading up to Goffman's time and adaptations thereof. Do preview the slides accompanying the next lecture in <LNG302 Topic 04.pptx> and consult corresponding sources from the Reading Guide.

And please, do catch up on house-keeping matters such as the formation of triplets if you have not attended to them.
