With the conclusion of the mini-series on face theory, we are truly into the swing of things all Goffmanian. This will mean a faster pace of working by all of you.

In tomorrow's workshop we shall turn our attention to another text, using analytical categories stemming from face theory of Goffman's kind, as well as from speech act theory, politeness theory, and face constitution theory. The transcript and space for annotation under different analytical categories can be found here and also through the page for Topic 5.

Do come prepared to bring your insights into the new text.
