Dear All:
The Q&A page has been refreshed with two questions that are being commonly posed. Take a look at my responses there aside from adding other questions.
A draft facility has now been set up. Do take advantage of it in sharing your draft and receiving feedback before submission. Submit your draft after taking the steps recommended on the Q&A page. The draft can be uploaded privately to a new folder created on Box. This folder will expire at 18:00:00 on 2025-05-19. Allow three working days for comments to be returned to you as before.
Best regards,
Paul

Dear All:
For those who made a submission, individual marking reports were returned earlier today, along with marginal comments on the corresponding Critical Reviews.
While there were some excellent pieces of work, there was a number of submissions which did not even respond to the basic requirements of the brief.
In addition, further advice on the assignment is available from the consolidated feedback page.
I hope the sources of feedback will help you work out how you could handle a similar task in future studies.
Do not forget to download the learning materials available to you from Connect if you would like to continue your studying of interactional sociolinguistics in coming years. You may keep these materials for your own personal academic use.
In due course, Registry will contact those students who are eligible for a "re-sit", that is, a chance to do another piece of assessment to make up for failure to pass the present module.
Meanwhile, if you have any questions not addressed by the above, do let me know.
For those graduating at the expected time, or returning to their home universities, feel free to keep in touch via email: Paul.Cheung@xjtlu.edu.cn.
Best regards,
Paul
