The Order Feedback (MARCH 2024) regarding the books ordered by the Library is updated. The arrival time of imported books might be affected due to delays in international parcel delivery. For any urgent need, please contact your subject librarians.

Reference Textbook Order Feedback
- The Library received 1,237 reference textbook requests for AY23/24-S2 through e-Bridge.
- 1053 titles have arrived in the Library collection, one copy of which will be shelved in the Course Reserved Area (3F, the Library). You can easily search the reference textbooks for your modules in the "Curriculum" of OPAC.
- 26 titles exist in the Library's digital collection, the electronic copy is searchable and accessible on OPAC.
- 47 titles have not been ordered due to incomplete or incorrect bibliographic information (title, author(s), ISBN, etc.)
- 105 titles are out of print. Please check for other editions.
- 11 titles are temporarily out of stock.

Event Review: The preliminary of 2024 first "Intellectual Property" University Debate Competition of Suzhou Industrial Park was successfully held at XJTLU
The preliminary round of the inaugural "Intellectual Property" University Debate Competition in Suzhou Industrial Park was successfully held at XJTLU on the afternoon of March 23rd, 2024. Four debate teams from universities in Suzhou Industrial Park engaged in riveting debates on topics such as "The resistance against intellectual property theft relies more on the self-awareness of rights holders or consumer awareness." This debate competition, jointly organized by the National Intellectual Property Training Base for Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (Suzhou), Suzhou Industrial Park Intellectual Property Service Alliance, XJTLU IPISC, and Suzhou Dushu Lake Science and Education Development Co., Ltd., attracted over 100 spectators including students and faculty from neighboring institutions and representatives from enterprises.

Library Highlights
XJTLU Open Access Publishing Agreements with American Chemical Society (ACS)
We are delighted to announce that, in addition to existing agreements with Cambridge University Press and IEEE, we have recently partnered with the American Chemical Society (ACS). From 2024 to 2026, six OA waiver tokens will be allocated annually. As corresponding authors affiliated with Xi'an Jiaotong-Liverpool University, full-time employees are eligible to apply for it.
Unveiling AI's Potential: A Recap of the Library's AI Idea Exchange Camp in March
On March 20th and March 27th, 2024, the library successfully hosted two sessions of the "Library AI Idea Exchange Camp" in Room 455, CB. Both sessions were an exchange of knowledge, fostering discussions among the participants about AI's impact on daily tasks and future roles. Inspired by everyone's curiosity and eagerness to learn, the library looks forward to hosting more such AI-related events to enhance mutual learning and exploration within the field of AI.
Library Report: Essential Science Indicators Research Performance Report_2024 March Issue
The Essential Science Indicators (ESI) Research Performance Report provides information about XJTLU’s ESI rankings and performance, Top 1% research fields and Top Papers. ESI Top 1% of institutions identify top global performers in 22 different research disciplines. According to the latest ESI update on March 2024, XJTLU ranks 3,053rd among the 9,228 listed institutions worldwide, with the overall ranking moving up 53 places.
Nanjing Agricultural University Library colleagues visited the XJTLU Library
On 22 Mar, 2024, a group of 13 people including Zhongxing Guo, the University Librarian of Nanjing Agricultural University Library visited the library at Xi'an Jiaotong-Liverpool University to have the communication on the Library development and operation. This visit and exchange activity not only enhanced their understanding of the construction of future learning center for the transformation and development of their libraries, but also deepened communication and understanding between the two university libraries.
