The Order Feedback (JULY 2024) regarding the books ordered by the Library is updated. The arrival time of imported books might be affected due to delays in international parcel delivery. For any urgent need, please contact your subject librarians.

Reference Textbook Order Feedback
- The Library received 1,531 reference textbook requests for AY24/25-S1 through e-Bridge and e-mail. Please click here to review Book Status.
- 1,366 titles have arrived in the Library collection, one copy of which will be shelved in the Course Reserved Area (3F, the Library). Students can easily search the reference textbooks for their module in the "Curriculum" of OPAC.
- 18 titles exist in the Library's digital collection, the electronic copy is searchable and accessible on OPAC.
- 48 titles are not ordered due to incomplete or incorrect bibliographic information (title, author(s), ISBN, etc.). Please send the correct book information by submitting the Library Print Book Suggestion Form to your subject librarians.
- 65 titles are not ordered due to out of print/stock.

Library Report: Essential Science Indicators Research Performance Report_2024 July Issue
The Essential Science Indicators (ESI) Research Performance Report provides information about XJTLU’s ESI rankings and performance, Top 1% research fields and Top Papers. ESI Top 1% of institutions identify top global performers in 22 different research disciplines.
According to the latest ESI update on July 2024, XJTLU ranks 2,863rd among the 9,210 listed institutions worldwide, with the overall ranking moving up 191 places. The University has retained its position in the global Top 1% in the fields of Engineering, Computer Science, Social Science, General, and Environment/Ecology.

Go Reading! Exploring Suzhou Classical Gardens Held Successfully
On the afternoon of July 25, 2024, XJTLU library hosted a reading event themed "Go Reading! Exploring Suzhou Classical Gardens with Glimpses of Gardens in Eastern China". International students had a comprehensive understanding of the history background and design concepts of Suzhou gardens, and differences between eastern and western gardens through the book "Glimpses of Gardens in Eastern China", especially the Humble Administrator's Garden and the Master of Nets Garden. Additionally, the event also featured a special lacquer fan crafting experience for students.
The reading event not only deepened international students' understanding of Jiangsu culture and Suzhou gardens but also promoted cultural exchange between China and other countries. After the event, students expressed their hope for more opportunities in the future to further explore traditional Chinese culture and arts.
