EDU Support for coaches in ENT301TC: Highlights

Major events, key areas of focus and ongoing actions for sharing best practices among coaches are hightlighted here: 

Guest Lecture to students on March 12th ' Embarking your journey on the Capstone Project

The lecture aims to develop awareness among students about learning styles, employability skills, the role of coaches and tools and techniques to develop assumptions in data analysis.

EDU Support feedback session on March 22nd 

  • One major area of concern which was discussed in the last EDU support session is the perception of the role of coaches by students. Further discussions revealed there is quite large diversity on that question among students’ groups. Specific actions should take place  to help students have better understanding of the role of the coach, as well as being able to understand how working with coaches contributes to learning performance (and grades).
  • Another area of concern which came out from recent discussions with coaches is the level of exposure from students to employer’s expectations in terms of professional skills

Consultation Meeting March 30th 

  • Searching skills and students proficiency using library database is a major factor which could affect their progress working with coaches

Consultation Meeting April 4th 

  • Leadership in students teams appears to be a major differentiating factors in students being able to coordinate actions in gathering, reviewing and planning actions for data integration into their business plan.

EDU Support feedback session on April 19th

During this meeting, best practices identified among coaches were discussed along with suggestions for improvements of the coaching practice.

EDU would be pleased to assist with consultations or observations to help you reflect on your coaching practice, and apply those tools in your coaching practice.
