The 4th round of print book acquisition for AY2022-23 has started. 100% of book titles shall be collected by 31 May 2023.

The Library Pre-approval Plans for each department are provided below, from where you could select desired titles.
The Order Feedback (April 2023) regarding the books ordered by the Library is updated. The arrival time of imported books might be affected due to delays in international parcel delivery. For any urgent need, please contact your subject librarians.

2023 XJTLU Library Reading Month
In Commemorating the World Book Day of 23rd April, XJTLU library held the “2023 XJTLU Library Reading Month”. The theme of this year’s reading month is “Read Yourself, Harvest the Future”. This Reading Month has three parts and 17 happenings, including online events, offline events, and training courses.
A wide variety of activities has attracted many readers to participate. In the online activities, readers are invited to participate in the vote for their favorite reading videos of XJTLU Readers. Offline activities are abundant and diverse, including Go reading(悦读会), Readathon, Calligraphy Experience Workshop, etc. These activities have greatly improved students' interest in reading and promoted their motivation for learning.
The library has been committed to organizing and promoting reading. We hope that students can read with pleasure, which can improve their enthusiasm and initiative in reading.
IP Seminar - Basics about Patents and Trademarks Successfully held
To popularize the basic knowledge of patents and trademarks and to enhance the awareness of intellectual property rights among students and staff at XJTLU, the XJTLU IPISC (Library) held an IP Seminar on April 26th. Over 30 staff and students from departments and UMC attended the event online and onsite.
During the event, Ms. Zhao Dandan from PatSnap shared "Patent Basics and the Application Process" with XJYLUers, introducing the importance of patents from the role of patents for enterprises and researchers, and explaining the origin and basic concepts of patents, the three types of Chinese patents, and the application process. As an external mentor of XJTLU, Ms. Li Xiaolin from Suzhou Zhishi Information Consulting Co., Ltd. shared the concept of trademark, application requirements, process, and the skills to deal with trademark "withdrawal" and discussed it with the attendees.
The event was successfully held, which started the popularization work of IPISC. The Center will always be a public service network for intellectual property information, supporting students, teachers, enterprises, and the public and escorting the innovation development of R&D personnel.
XJTLU Library (Taicang) Successfully Held the Spring Book Fair
XJTLU Library (Taicang) held a spring book fair from 14th April to 24th April, 2023. Combined spring with travel, this fair attracts many students to participate in. The librarians show the recommended books on the round and long tables. Meanwhile, various postcards are provided for students to write their recommendations. Our interactive method is to poke the place you want to go on the world map. During the activity, we have seen that there are lots of colorful nails on the map. This method makes the fair vivid and interesting. XJTLU Library hopes our students can enjoy the fun of reading through the book fair.
