- The Library received 1,395 reference textbook requests for AY23/24-S1 through e-Bridge.

- 1260 titles have arrived in the Library collection, one copy of which will be shelved in the Course Reserved Area (3F, the Library). You can easily search the reference textbooks for your modules in the "Curriculum" of OPAC.

5 titles exist in the Library's digital collection, the electronic copy is searchable and accessible on OPAC.

36 titles have not been ordered due to incomplete or incorrect bibliographic information (title, author(s), ISBN, etc.)

55 titles are out of print. Please check for other editions.

18 titles are temporarily out of stock.

2 titles, which failed to be ordered due to not being officially published, will be reordered by the Library.

Please be noted the arrival time of imported books might be affected due to delays in international parcel delivery.

Library Opening Hours during the Mid-autumn Day and National Day Holiday

Providing better services through user-centered, innovative and professional service is the main objective of the Library. Therefore, to enhance the Library service and better support our users learning and research activities, the library space will be opened during the Mid-autumn Day and National Day Holiday,

29th September, 2023 and 1st to 6th October, 2023

Opening Hours: 08:00-22:00

XJTLU Library will brings you fantastic activities in October:

  • E-Discovery Week 2023 will take place from Oct 9 to 13. Join us to learn more about quality electronic resources for your study and research. All participants will enter a Lucky Draw and have a chance to bring home our exciting prizes!
  • Academic Book Fair 2023 will be held on Oct 23-26. It serves as a platform for staff and students to get the latest academic publications of all subjects and make high-quality book recommendations for the Library.
  • Researcher Academy @XJTLU Library will be held on October 25, aiming to take young researchers through the different phases of the research cycle — from the beginnings of research preparation, through the publishing process, all the way to demonstrating impact.

The Essential Science Indicators (ESI) Research Performance Report provides information about XJTLU’s ESI rankings and performance, Top 1% research fields and Top Papers. ESI Top 1% institutions identify top global performers in 22 different research disciplines. According to the latest ESI update on September 2023, XJTLU ranks 3,155th among the 8,786 listed institutions worldwide, with the overall ranking moving up for 41 places. Top 1% Research Field are Engineering, Computer Science, Social Science General and Environment/Ecology

Embedded Class: Library and Information Skills for Material Science and Engineering Research

Subject librarian worked with instructor who deliver the module CEN425 to develop a detailed instruction, tailored to the needs of MRes students in Material Science and Engineering. Through instruction, librarian introduced and reinforced information literacy concepts as well as hands-on searching practices in order to help students establish a foundation of transferrable, research-based skills.
