- The Library received 1,395 reference textbook requests for AY23/24-S1 through e-Bridge.

- 1260 titles have arrived in the Library collection, one copy of which will be shelved in the Course Reserved Area (3F, the Library). You can easily search the reference textbooks for your modules in the "Curriculum" of OPAC.

5 titles exist in the Library's digital collection, the electronic copy is searchable and accessible on OPAC.

36 titles have not been ordered due to incomplete or incorrect bibliographic information (title, author(s), ISBN, etc.)

55 titles are out of print. Please check for other editions.

18 titles are temporarily out of stock.

2 titles, which failed to be ordered due to not being officially published, will be reordered by the Library.

XJTLU Intellectual Property Information Service Center Participated In The "Strong Chain Empowerment · Wise Future" Suzhou AI Empowerment Industry Development Conference

To seize the strategic opportunities presented by the development of artificial intelligence, Ms. Liping Yang, the director of the Intellectual Property Information Service Center, led the team to participate in the Suzhou AI Empowerment Industry Development Conference on October 24, 2023. During the conference, leaders from the Provincial and Municipal Industry and Information Technology Departments, as well as Suzhou Science and Technology University, and entrepreneurs from diverse fields, delivered speeches on the development direction of artificial intelligence in the era of large models. IPISC, government departments, and core AI enterprises agreed on "Suzhou Big Model Application Ecological Cooperation", and established strategic partnerships.

Event Review: Successful Hosting of E-Discovery Week 2023

Event Review-E-Discovery Week 2023.png

The ninth E-Discovery Week was successfully held from October 9th to 13th 2023. For eight years, this annual event at XJTLU Library has been a cornerstone in the promotion of electronic resources. E-Discovery Week featured an array of engaging activities, including challenges, workshops, InfoClinic and WeChat Interaction. Over the course of 5 days, 2154 attempts were made for the E-Discovery Challenge, and 274 participants joined the E-Discovery workshops. The WeChat article on the event received an astounding 12,465 reads and was shared 1,416 times. Faculty, staff and students actively participated and gained a better understanding of the rich digital resources provided by the library.

Event Review: Researcher Academy Symposium Concluded Successfully

With the theme of Demystifying Academic Publishing: Challenges and Opportunities for Early-career Researchers, the Researcher Academy Symposium Autumn 2023 was successfully held on October 25. There were 3 inspirational sessions respectively. Ms. Chen Zhou (Training Specialist, Oxford University Press), Dr. Graham Dawson (Associate Professor, School of Science, XJTLU) and Dr. Darcy Sperlich (Associate Professor, School of Humanities and Social Sciences, XJTLU) gathered to share the publishing process that Early-career Researchers face and what open access means for them. All these contents enrich researchers’ understanding of academic publishing and guide them to promote the academic process more efficiently.
