Title: Does eradicating plateau zokor increase grassland productivity for livestock?

Abstract: In this research, I study the interactions between vegetation and herbivores, the small rodent plateau zokor and the large herbivore yak. Both large herbivore and small herbivore rely on the vegetation for food, however they have different diet and habitat preferences, thereby consume different plant species which may influence the vegetation composition. Zokor induced soil disturbance also increases soil water infiltration which increases productivity thereby, partly offsetting the soil mound reduced vegetation cover. This time I will share some preliminary results.
