Title: Rapid change of trace metals at the water-soil interface under varied environments

Abstract:

Wetlands act as a large carbon sink storing 35% of the world's terrestrial carbon and remaining stable. The soil-water interface of wetlands exists a redox gradient and influences the transport and transformation of elements, affecting the release of greenhouse gases such as CH4 and N2O. The spatial distribution of changes of elemental patterns under different environments has been extensively studied. However, there are few studies on the temporal distribution of elemental changes. This project will focus on the temporal distribution of changes in trace metals under varied environments by adopting the method of In-situ Porewater Iterative coupled ICP-MS.
