About me

Dr. Qian Zhang (张潜) joined the Department of Chemistry at Xi'an Jiaotong-Liverpool University in November 2020 as Assistant Professor. He studied his Ph.D. with Professor Cheng-Wei Tom Chang at the Utah State University, investigating the synthesis of new aminoglycosides. He then had the experience of conducting post-doc research at the University of Notre Dame with Professor Shahriar Mobashery for one year. Before taking this position, he had four years of experience working in a pharmaceutical company. His research focuses on developing new methodologies in organic chemistry and synthesizing bioactive small molecules.
