Title: "Saving Marine Life and Striving for a Blue Ocean Economy"

Abstract:

This presentation's objective is to provide an understanding of the importance of the ocean economy, the current usage of the ocean, within the context of international trade and the impact it has on ocean health, marine life and the future of the ocean health with human activity. This is provided as part of the undergraduate seminar for ENV002, Global Environmental Issues Module, taught by Professor Uromi Manage Goodale and will cover the following topics: 1. Blue economy & marine and shipping economy; 2. Global population & trade demand; 3. Brief intro on marine life and the threats they face; and 4. Sustainability and managing marine economy.
