Key words: E-learning; Technology; Enhanced; Development

With XJTLU as an institution undergoing a period of rapid and focused development, so too are the technologies and services that support teaching and learning across our campus - and beyond. Accordingly, this session will highlight and showcase the growing range of tools available to academic staff, the use of which can enhance teaching practice, expand assessment opportunities, and further engage students. From the University’s recently upgraded virtual learning environment, to polling and student response systems; from peer assessment tools to rich media content, this session will explore the technologies currently available, and those under development. In addition, and in line with an increasing emphasis upon technology-enhanced teaching and learning provision via blended, fully-online and distributed/open approaches, the session will also examine relevant issues relating to the effective use of these and other technologies by the broader XJTLU community.
