Wanted Book List

Based on the book recommendations from academic departments, the Library produces a ‘wanted book list’ for items which failed to be purchased. Faculty could find your own  ways to purchase the listed books for teaching and research needs. It shall follow the procedure in XJTLU Library Faculty Purchase Reimbursement Policy when purchasing a book from the wanted book list.

You can click here to review the Wanted Book List.

-  From now on 75 journals will not be included in T&F SSH collection for some reasons

-  11 journals will not be published by T&F from Jan 1, 2019, and will be removed from T&F SSH collection

Most of these effected journals are subjected on Politics, International Relations & Area Studies. The detailed journal list can be found HERE.

Research Tips: Set Up Your Researcher Profile

In an increasingly competitive research and scholarship environment, how do you distinguish yourself from someone? If your institutional affiliation and/or contact information changes, how is the link between you and your scholarly work maintained? The solution is creating a researcher profile.

Your researcher profile is an individual Internet profile that provides a user friendly and efficient way of showcasing your work.

Having a unique profile:

  • Showcases your work to the world
  • Manages your publications list
  • Helps to be identified by potential collaborators
  • Helps to avoid misidentification
  • Enables your research output to be attributed to XJTLU
  • Tracks citation counts

There are multiple researcher profile tools available for free. Find more information in following FAQs:

What is Scopus Author ID?

What is ORCID and how do I register?

What is ResearcherID (Web of Science)?

Open Access Week 2018

OA-Week-2018-Post-Twitter.png

The 2018 International Open Access Week was held from October 22 -28, 2018.

This year’s theme reflects a scholarly system in transition. While governments, funders, universities, publishers, and scholars are increasingly adopting open policies and practices, how these are actually implemented is still in flux. As open becomes the default, all stakeholders must be intentional about designing these new, open systems to ensure that they are inclusive, equitable, and truly serve the needs of a diverse global community.
