New Textbook Policy

Textbook service is one of the most important issues for teaching and learning. In consideration of textbook service survey among students, the Library started textbook service reviewing project in February 2017. Based on the approved proposal on textbook service policy changes, a working group (contains library staff and faculty) has done the internal reviews, comprehensive discussions, further consultation with academic departments and finalized the policy. Module leaders are recommended go in-depth reading of the text before the textbook request collection coming soon in October.

XJTLU Textbook Service Policy Instruction Workshop

XJTLU LIBRARY 2017 AUTUMN BOOK FAIR

XJTLU Library takes great pleasure in inviting all XJTLU staff and students to attend XJTLU LIBRARY 2017 AUTUMN BOOK FAIR. About 20,000 titles western new books of all subjects will be displayed.

Time: October 24th -27th, 9:00am-5:00pm

Location: South Study Hall, 3rd Floor University Library

New Book Recommendation Channel for XJTLU Staff

The University Library has established cooperative partnership with three popular bookstores in Suzhou. They are the Eslite Bookstore (苏州诚品书店), the Phoenix Bookstore (凤凰苏州书城) , and the Guanqian St. Bookstore (观前街书城).

The three bookstores will serve as the Library Book Purchase Site where staff could order books for the library by staff card during their business hours. The start time is September 4th, 2017. For procedures and regulations, please kindly find the policy in the link below:

Library Training Page in ICE

To enhance students’ experience on library workshops, a module page “Library Training” was launched in ICE in AY 2017/18. The workshops are organized by various topics, including library inductions, DISCOVER and database use, EndNote, etc. Enrolment is not required as the module is directly available to all users of ICE. To attend the workshops, registration is still required via library Training Calendar.
