Print Book Acquisition
The third round of print book acquisition for AY2020-21 has started. 90% book titles shall be collected by 31 March, 2021.

The Library Pre-approval Plans for each department are provided as below, from where you could select desired titles.
The Order Feedback (January-February 2021) regarding the books ordered by the Library is updated as below. During the pandemic prevention and control period, the arrival time of imported books might be affected due to delays in international parcel delivery. For any urgent need, please contact your subject librarians.

Reference Textbook Order Feedback
- The Library received 1,048 reference textbook requests for AY20/21-S2 through e-Bridge.
- 760 titles have existed in the Library collection, one copy of which will be shelved in Course Reserved Area (3F, the Library). You can easily search the reference textbooks of your modules in "Curriculum" of OPAC.
- 100 titles have been proceeded for ordering.
- 2 titles, which failed to be ordered due to temporarily out of stock, will be reordered by the Library.
During the regular epidemic prevention and control period, the arrival time of imported books might be affected due to delays in international parcel delivery.

Wanted Book List
Based on the book recommendations from academic departments, the Library produces a ‘wanted book list’ for items which failed to be purchased. Faculty could find your own ways to purchase the listed books for teaching and research needs. It shall follow the procedure in XJTLU Library Faculty Purchase Reimbursement Policy when purchasing a book from the wanted book list.

China Species Library(中国生物志库)(Trial)
China species library is the first and the most comprehend database of Chinese biological species with authoritative and complete intellectual property. CSL contains nearly 100,000 titles of living organisms in China, including all plant groups, animal groups and fungi. CSL provides information such as the species name, taxonomy, morphological characteristics, distribution, utility, and theoretical knowledge. How to Collect Your Desk Copy and Textbooks for Semester 2 in AY2020-2021
COVID-19 nucleic acid tests have been performed on the Textbooks and Textbook Service Center on 22 February, 2021. All the results are negative. Thus, Library offers desk copy collection to staff and textbook collection to students.
Staff could follow the precautionary health and safety measures to collect desk copy from 24 February to 26 March, 2021.
In accordance with XJTLU Students Return Arrangements, students can collect their textbooks from 26 February to 4 March, 2021 at the Textbook Service Center. Students should make sure XJTLU Pass Code is GREEN and follow the precautionary health and safety measures to collect textbooks on site. Students who MISSED the centralized distribution can collect textbooks at the Textbook Service Center during opening hours before WEEK 10 (7th May). For students, who have to study remotely due to COVID-19 pandemic can apply for textbook posting service before WEEK 4 (26 March).

- No limit on the title, genre or length. The article can be written in Chinese or English. We accept submission in Microsoft Word format.
- Relevant photos and pictures can be provided, in JPG/JPEG/PNG format, along with a short description.
- Submissions must be accompanied by a brief introduction of the author, including the author’s name, XJTLU ID, identity (alumni, staff member, current student, librarian), etc.
- Submissions must be original works. The contributors grant the Library the right to publish the article
