Print Book Acquisition
The third round of print book acquisition for AY2020-21 has started. 90% book titles shall be collected by 31 March, 2021.

The Library Pre-approval Plans for each department are provided as below, from where you could select desired titles.
The Order Feedback (December 2020-January 2021) regarding the books ordered by the Library is updated as below. During the pandemic prevention and control period, the arrival time of imported books might be affected due to delays in international parcel delivery. For any urgent need, please contact your subject librarians.

Wanted Book List
Based on the book recommendations from academic departments, the Library produces a ‘wanted book list’ for items which failed to be purchased. Faculty could find your own ways to purchase the listed books for teaching and research needs. It shall follow the procedure in XJTLU Library Faculty Purchase Reimbursement Policy when purchasing a book from the wanted book list.

Digital Resources Update
Nature Biotechnology is a monthly journal publishing new concepts in biological technology of relevance to bioengineering, medicine, energy, agriculture, food and the environment. It has a magazine covering the commercial, political, ethical, legal and societal aspects of this research.
Nature Materials is a multidisciplinary journal aimed at bringing together cutting-edge research across the entire spectrum of materials science and technology. Nature Materials covers all applied and fundamental aspects of the synthesis/processing, structure/composition, properties and performance of materials.

Intellectual Property Internal Workshop Successfully Held
On the morning of 19 January, the XJTLU Intellectual Property Information Service Centre and XJTLU Library co-sponsored an intellectual property internal workshop, inviting experts from Xi’an Jiaotong University (XJTU), to give an online sharing on their experience in intellectual property and sci-tech novelty retrieval development.
Four guest speakers, Mr. Zili Qiang (Deputy University Librarian of XJTU), Ms. Qin Zhou (Patent Service Expert of XJTU), Mr. Xinan Chen (Sci-tech Novelty Retrieval Service Expert of XJTU) and Ms. Wei Chen (Library Research Support Division Director of XJTU) have brought librarians with wonderful talks about how Xi’an Jiaotong University has run and developed intellectual property information services.

During the winter holiday, the Library will keep offering academic support services.
XJTLUers are welcomed to book a research appointment with reference librarians to schedule consultation for yourself or for a group of no more than 3 people.

Reference Textbook Order Feedback
- The Library received 1,048 reference textbook requests for AY20/21-S2 through e-Bridge.
- 748 titles have existed in the Library collection, one copy of which will be shelved in Course Reserved Area (3F, the Library). You can easily search the reference textbooks of your modules in "Curriculum" of OPAC.
- 112 titles have been proceeded for ordering.
- 2 titles, which failed to be ordered due to temporarily out of stock, will be reordered by the Library.
