The first round of print book acquisition for AY2021-22 has started. 25% book titles shall be collected by 30 November, 2021.

For book purchasing schedule, please refer to Library Print Book Acquisition Schedule for AY2021-22.

The Library Pre-approval Plans for each department are provided as below, from where you could select desired titles.

The Order Feedback (July-August 2021) regarding the books ordered by the Library is updated as below. During the pandemic prevention and control period, the arrival time of imported books might be affected due to delays in international parcel delivery. For any urgent need, please contact your subject librarians.

Newsletter书单2.png    Reference Textbook Order Feedback

- The Library received 1,456 reference textbook requests for AY21/22-S1 through e-Bridge.

- 1,176 titles have existed in the Library collection, one copy of which will be shelved in Course Reserved Area (3F, the Library). You can easily search the reference textbooks of your modules in "Curriculum" of OPAC.

- 74 titles have been proceeded for ordering.

- 25 titles, which failed to be ordered due to temporarily out of stock, will be reordered by the Library.

During the regular epidemic prevention and control period, the arrival time of imported books might be affected due to delays in international parcel delivery.

Due Dates Extended

According to the Notice on Student Return to Campus and Teaching Arrangements for Semester One, AY2021-22, for your convenience and to avoid any overdue fines, the checked-out library items with due date between 31 May 2021 to 14 October 2021 will be extended to 15 October 2021. If there is any change in the pandemic situation or university instructions, due dates for library items will continue to be extended.

If you are not able to return to university on time to return books, the Library suggests that you renew borrowed books online before the due date through http://opac.xjtlu.edu.cn.  If you have any problems with renewing items online, please send an Email to library-service@xjtlu.edu.cn for help.

XJTLU Library: Supporting Your Online Learning

XJTLU Library, playing  the  role  as  Research  Support  and  Learning  Centre  in  XJTLU, supports students both on and off campus. The Library homepage (https://lib.xjtlu.edu.cn/), a gateway to e-resources and a manual to Library services, is available 24/7 all year around. During the online learning period, you may access Library e-resources to facilitate your learning,  participate in workshops to be familiar with e-resources searching, and make use of reference services when needing help.

XJTLU Library Deep Cleaning during the Summer Holidays

To keep our library clean and inviting, a regular deep cleaning around the library was carried out during this summer holidays. Cleaners swept floors, wiped down tables and chairs at all levels of the building thoroughly. A few damaged chairs and chairs with tough stains were picked out along the way. Replacement of these chairs have already be arranged.

Based on the book recommendations from academic departments, the Library produces a ‘wanted book list’ for items which failed to be purchased. Faculty could find your own  ways to purchase the listed books for teaching and research needs. It shall follow the procedure in Library Policy on Staff Self-Purchase Reimbursement when purchasing a book from the wanted book list.
