Print Book Acquisition
The last round of departmental book acquisition for AY2018-2019 has started. 100% book titles shall be collected by May 15, 2019.
For book purchasing schedule, please refer to Library Print Book Acquisition Schedule for AY2018-19.
The latest Library Pre-approval Plans for each department are provided as below, from where you could select desired titles.
The Order Feedback (February 2019) regarding the books ordered by the Library is attached as well.

AY18/19-S2 Recommended Textbook Order Feedback
The Library received 1,309 recommended textbook requests through e-Bridge. You can check the details for your own modules in the document below. Upon the arrival in the Library, one copy of the books will be shelved in Course Reserved Area (3F, the Library), to allow more students to have access to them.

Wanted Book List
Based on the book recommendations from academic departments, the Library produces a ‘wanted book list’ for items which failed to be purchased. Faculty could find your own ways to purchase the listed books for teaching and research needs. It shall follow the procedure in XJTLU Library Faculty Purchase Reimbursement Policy when purchasing a book from the wanted book list.

Digital Resources Update
New Resources Trial
Wiley Online Journals (Social Science and Humanities (SSH) Collection) : The trial of Wiley Online Journals SSH collection will start from March 1st to June 30th, 2019. It provides access to 560+ academic journals on subjects including business, economics, finance & accounting, education, humanities, law & criminology, psychology and social sciences.
Library Digital Resources Budget Planning for AY19/20
To enhance communication effectiveness, Planning Office has made a proposal that the academic departments shall upload all your requests to your departmental folder on Portal. Afterwords, the Planning Office will consolidate all collected requests and send them to the respective offices (including Library, HR, CMO, MITS). For example, the digital resource requests will be sent to the Library.

Library Usage Report Announcement
XJTLU 2018 Physical Library Usage Report collects the data in terms of book circulation, user traffic, usage of group discussion room, popular books ranking, and user with high borrowing in 2018. The report aims to provide a physical library usage statistic to comprehend the Library usage of XJTLU users in daily operation.
XJTLU 2018 Library Digital Resources Usage Report is produced with the intention of presenting a landscape of XJTLU digital library and its usage in 2018 and the previous year. It will be one of important documents when planning the library budget for the coming academic year.
