Print Book Acquisition
The last round of departmental book acquisition for AY2018-2019 has started. 100% book titles shall be collected by May 15, 2019.

The latest Library Pre-approval Plans for each department are provided as below, from where you could select desired titles.

AY18/19-S2 Recommended Textbook Order Feedback
The Library received 1,309 recommended textbook requests through e-Bridge. You can check the details for your own modules in the document below. Upon the arrival in the Library, one copy of the books will be shelved in Course Reserved Area (3F, the Library), to allow more students to have access to them.

Wanted Book List
Based on the book recommendations from academic departments, the Library produces a ‘wanted book list’ for items which failed to be purchased. Faculty could find your own ways to purchase the listed books for teaching and research needs. It shall follow the procedure in XJTLU Library Faculty Purchase Reimbursement Policy when purchasing a book from the wanted book list.

Factiva Ended Service in China
Upon receiving the notice from vendor, the Library hereby informs you that, effective immediately, as from 21 February 2019, Factiva Service will no longer be available in mainland China. For patrons who need China statistical data for research, the following databases could be alternatives:

Newspaper Source (via EBSCO): Newspaper Source provides cover-to-cover full text for more than 40 (U.S.) & international newspapers. Such as Christian Science Monitor, USA today, The Washington Post, The New York Times and The Wall Street Journal-Eastern Edition. The database also contains selective full text television & radio news transcripts are also provided.
