Print Book Acquisition
The last round of departmental book acquisition for AY2018-2019 has started. 100% book titles shall be collected by May 15, 2019.

The latest Library Pre-approval Plans for each department are provided as below, from where you could select desired titles.
The Order Feedback (April 2019) regarding the books ordered by the Library is attached as well.

AY18/19-S2 Recommended Textbook Order Feedback
The Library received 1,309 recommended textbook requests through e-Bridge. You can check the details for your own modules in the document below. Upon the arrival in the Library, one copy of the books will be shelved in Course Reserved Area (3F, the Library), to allow more students to have access to them.

Wanted Book List
Based on the book recommendations from academic departments, the Library produces a ‘wanted book list’ for items which failed to be purchased. Faculty could find your own ways to purchase the listed books for teaching and research needs. It shall follow the procedure in XJTLU Library Faculty Purchase Reimbursement Policy when purchasing a book from the wanted book list.

Digital Resources Update
Sage Research Method - Practice Data Analysis (Trial)
It is a collection of more than 1100 case study examples, downloadable teaching datasets, full-text titles from the Quantitative Applications for Social Sciences, as well as video tutorials showing research in action. Now, the platform has added new modules on finding practice datasets to help you master qualitative and quantitative data analysis.
Trial period: 5/3/2019 - 7/31/2019
New modules are as follow:
- Video for SPSS Basic Tutorial and Statistical Basic Theory, etc.
- Video for Practical Research and Academic Skill
- Video for Big Data Analytics and Digital Methods
Library User Survey 2019
To access library service quality, Xi’an Jiaotong-Liverpool University (XJTLU) Library conducted the Library User Survey 2019 in late March and early April. In total, 1562 valid responses were received and almost half of the respondents provided written comments.
The survey results show that 94.75% of the respondents are generally satisfied with Library services, maintaining the overall satisfaction rate at the same level as last year (94.69% in 2018). Since 2016, the rating of the Library’s overall performance has kept stable above 93.00%.
