Humble Administrator's Garden, the representative of Jiangnan gardens, is the largest classical landscape garden in Suzhou, and one of the four ancient famous gardens in Suzhou. It is the largest and most famous one in Suzhou gardens. It has been included in the World Cultural Heritage List and can be called the classic of Chinese private gardens.
Humble Administrator's Garden was built in the Ming Dynasty Zhengde period, through the four talents Wen Zhengming hand design, occupying 52,000 square meters of ground, and divided into east garden, middle garden, West garden three parts. The East garden is open and spacious, the middle garden is the essence of the whole garden, and the West garden is beautifully built and has its own characteristics. The south of the garden is a residential area, reflecting the pattern of traditional folk houses in typical Jiangnan area.
