It is not easy to study the investigation of shaping the nighttime atmosphere of classical gardens. At first, I tried to search for lighting-related things directly in the search engine, and all the results I got were very modern style, even flashy light shows, which are far from the soft lighting we want to be compatible with Suzhou gardens. Then I went to the Knowledge Network and the school's electronic library to search for keywords, and got some more reliable research on stage lighting, as well as existing examples of lighting decoration in classical gardens. I organised the information I got in a word document in separate sections and took it to discuss with the group, and let's just say that I feel that there is a long road ahead and I have to continue to keep trying to explore it.
