Our cover page of the brief
We spent Friday discussing and consolidating the parts of the brief that each person was responsible for writing and then putting it together in a PDF document, which we then printed out and prepared to hand in this afternoon. Since we stayed at school yesterday afternoon to do a lot of work, what we needed to do today was rather easy.
A part of my work
The Humble Administrator's Garden is a traditional classical garden and there are many similar gardens in China that have been modernised for reference. The traditional Chinese style does not lend itself to fancy light shows and it is more important that the various devices are in harmony with the garden itself and that they are well hidden during the daytime. Lighting is only for atmosphere, and I found many examples of other gardens and consulted many papers on stage or ambient lighting to add and contribute to the group's task.
