We hereby share with you the updated news in February 2022 regarding the New Senior HR Manager of Human Resources Office, Staff Training Calendar AY2021-2022 Semester 2, the Survey of Schooling for School-age Children 2022, and the 2021 PRC Individual Income Tax ("IIT") Annual Reconciliation Filing of Comprehensive Income.

1. Welcome Message from VPHR for the New Senior HR Manager

We are glad to let you know that Ms. Elaine (Xiaojun) ZHANG, Senior HR Manager of Human Resource Office joined in the University starting from 15 February 2022. Please kindly view the welcome massage from Dr. Yimin Ding, Vice President for Administrative Affairs as below.

"I am pleased to announce the new Senior HR Manager of Human Resource Office, Ms Elaine (Xiaojun) ZHANG. Elaine joins in the University starting from 15 February 2022.

Elaine has an extensive record of HR service with 13 years HR experience across the areas. From 2008 to present, she has been the roles as HR Manager/Recruitment Manager/OD Manager and HRBP/Global HR Director/Vice President HR in international enterprises and educations with broad responsibilities for/many achievements in defining HR strategy and interventions, supporting business growth at different stages of the organization. Elaine as a key member involved into organization design, re-shape and integrate from time to time according to business changes or needs, lead recruitment for the organization with 2000+ staff and cooperate with top universities global-wise in varies positions recruitment. Her experience also includes talent management development and succession planning, designing and implementing of personal career development plan for key talents and HiPOs.

Please join me in welcoming Ms Elaine ZHANG in her new career at XJTLU and give her full support in leading the Human Resources Office as it continues to pursue its strategic objectives."

 

 

 

2. Releasing of Staff Training Calendar AY2021-2022 Semester 2 and Course Registration

To constantly support staff competency improvement and leadership development, all training programmes in Staff Training Calendar AY2021-2022 Semester 2 are currently released and open for your registration. University staff members are encouraged to work with the line managers to identify developmental opportunities by choosing the corresponding training courses according to the development needs.

Please kindly view the appendix of course information first and then complete your registration via the link or QR code below.

3. Reminder: Survey – Schooling for School-age Children 2022

As every year at this time around, we conduct this survey aimed at finding out whether there are staff members who want their school-age child(ren) to enroll into public primary and secondary schools in Suzhou. The survey includes the personal information of staff and their child(ren). Please refer to the notice here for more details.

4. 2021 PRC Individual Income Tax ("IIT") Annual Reconciliation Filing of Comprehensive Income

For staff who need to do annual reconciliation, please pay attention that the deadline of application is 30th June 2022. Please refer to the information below for more details.

New Staff Induction Speech and Slides

New Staff Induction is generally conducted at the beginning of each semester to assist new staff to settle into the workplace.
