NEW MITS SERVICE: PC ANYWHERE

In order to support online teaching and remote office, MITS now offers a new service called PC Anywhere. Staff can use PC Anywhere to remotely access virtual applications or virtual desktops. Virtual Application Provides access to specific software such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Visio, Acrobat pro, SPSS Statistics 22, SDL Trados Studio 2019, ArcCatalog, and ArcMap. Virtual Desktop Provides the standard virtual computer desktop environment “Online office” and “Online Computer Lab”.

Please send an email to IT@xjtlu.edu.cn to request access, and begin using PC Anywhere for your online computer lab lectures or as a remote office.

MITS ONLINE SUPPORT

Due to the COVID-19, online teaching was conducted in February. MITS department provides effective support for staff and students, we work with Learning mall provides WeChat group questions for teaching staff and Students can contact the engineer by calling and ticket. MITS has engineers assigned to each position to answer online questions quickly. Hope the COVID-19 will end soon and we can meet on campus.

ONLINE EXHIBITIONS VISITING 1

In the post-epidemic era, online learning has become the norm. In order to enrich the cultural life of XJTLU teachers and students during the epidemic prevention and control period, XJTLU MUSEUM has organized online exhibition information of various museums for XJTLUers to learn art and culture knowledge online. TEDXXJTLU 2021 ANNUAL CONFERENCE SPEAKERS' VIDEO HAS BEEN LAUNCHED

On December 18, 2021, TEDxXJTLU 2021 annual conference was successfully held in XJTLU. Focusing on the theme of "Dao", this conference invited ten speakers from education, humanities, environment, science and technology, talk show, art, design, and other fields to share their life experiences with the audience. In order to spread these wonderful ideas to more audiences, the conference team has uploaded all videos with subtitles and subscriptions to TEDxXJTLU Official Wechat Account.

THE PREPARATION AND SUPPORT OF LEARNING MALL FOR SEMESTER 2

Learning Mall office has been engaged in the preparation and support of Learning Mall Core platform for the new Semester.

New Staff Induction workshops:

Learning Mall has conducted two New Staff Induction workshops to guide new staff through the basic functions that they need to use for online teaching. This induction can be called as a quick start manual for new staff to be able to start their teaching online during the pandemic situation.

Announcements with important guides and hints:

Learning Mall has sent out plenty of announcements to staff and students about the new semester timeline, guides of using educational technologies, and important suggestions, in order to support users have online teaching and learning smoothly.

LEARNING MALL OFFICIALLY BECOMES APPLE AUTHORIZED TRAINING PROVIDER

Learning Mall has officially established a partnership with Apple Inc. and became the Apple Authorized Training Provider (AATP). An AATP is directly authorized by Apple and has the right to carry out Apple's official training and certificate programs and provide learning services in China.

As an AATP, Learning Mall will provide various learning resources including online courses, workshops, and certificate programs. Currently, the courses include: macOS Support Essentials, Apple Deployment Essentials, App Development with Swift, Final Cut Pro X 10.4 Professional; certificate programs include: Apple Certified Support Professional (ACSP), App Development with Swift Level 1, and Final Cut Pro Certification.

Learners will soon have access to the course contents and certificate program registration services on learningmall.cn.

TIPS FOR ONLINE LEARNING

As the new semester began with a period of online mode, Learning Mall has published a series of online learning guidelines on social media, including preparation tips for students to get ready beforehand and tips for productive online learning. A COLLECTION OF WORKS | READING NOTES

The library is collecting reading notes from you, looking forward to the time when you and I meet, the haze of the epidemic has been dissipated. The theme of the entries is in the category of "reading notes". The subjects are not limited, but the content must be positive. The entries can be photos of the annotations, hand-drawn notes, or book reviews.
