2021 IT SERVICE CENTER DATA REPORT
As the external service window of MITS, IT service center receives a large number of inquiries from teachers and students by telephone, on-site, ticket and other means every year. By directly answering questions or transferring to engineers, IT Service center provided 37,319 services in 2021: 8935 telephone inquiries, 5004 on-site service at the service desk and 23,380 ticket handling. In 2021, there were 7,956 IT asset system access and withdrawal operations, and 1,369 IT asset installation services for staff. And made 11,921 ID cards. Next year we will provide better services for teachers and students.
PRACTICE OF DATA MANAGEMENT ON FIRST CKI SHARING DAY
The first CKI sharing day in 2022 was successfully held last Wednesday. Xiangang Hu from MITS provided a speech on the theme of Practice of data management. The content of speech started from the comparison of national standards and actual work, and explained XJTLU's data management work in the order of the development of the timeline. And provide attendees with many real and objective cases. Finally, Hu recommended the use of some practical tools. Participants gave high praise and optimistic feedbacks.

MITS CALLS YOU TO UIM PLATFORM BINDING THE INFORMATION
According to the Unified Identity Management Platform (UIM), there are still over 8,000 students who have not set up their account recovery information. What’s the purpose of binding information to UIM? Students can change the password in UIM, which will facilitate students to shorten the processing time. So remember to go to UIM to bind your account.

W·E SALON IN XJTLU MUSEUM SUCCESSFULLY HELD
The craftsmanship of the Suzhou Fans was listed among the first batch of national intangible cultural heritages in 2006. Suzhou fan culture not only boasts of exquisite craftsmanship, but also embodies a pursuit of excellence.
XJTLU Museum invited Ms. Gao Jun, director of the Suzhou Fans Committee of Suzhou Arts and Crafts Society, to our "W·E Salon", thus enabling the teachers and students of XJTLU to experience the craftsmanship of Suzhou Fans up close to appreciate the exquisiteness of the Fan and the charm of traditional Chinese handicraft art via hand-on practice.
This workshop specially prepared a gold-sprinkled fan to celebrate the New Year. Participants can not only experience the fun of hand-making, but also take home the finished product as a New Year's DIY decoration.

On December 18, 2021, TEDxXJTLU2021 annual conference was successfully held in CB13W XJTLU. The conference centered on the theme of "DAO", invited ten speakers from different fields such as education, humanities, environment, technology, talk show, art, design and so on. Speakers share with the audience their life experiences from the birth of ideas to the harvest of practice, and share their stories of daring to explore and create their own "way". THE CKI SHARING DAY
This month on the 19th January saw the second CKI Sharing Day held within G223 in the Central Building. Over the course of the day the event saw many speakers sharing their expertise on a range of subjects.
The Learning Mall representative on the day was Kenneth Simmons whose sharing centered around the use XR (Extended Reality) specifically focusing on the subject of ‘XR and its Efficacy as a Tool to Assist Learning and Teaching’.
The sharing session provided an explanation of XR, the tools that might be used to implement the technology, and how XR might be effectively used within the context of education.
The attendees of the session were able to interact with the technology so that they might build up a greater understanding of real world applications of XR, and explore ways of how they themselves might be able to utilize it in their very own educational contexts.
LEARNING MALL INTRODUCES NEW VIRTUAL INTERNSHIP PROGRAM
JobReady virtual work experience programs are now launched on XJTLU Learning Mall platform.
The concept of virtual work experience refers to the online work experience that JobReady provides to job seekers after reaching official cooperation with various enterprises. The virtual work experience project simulates the online work experience of the company's real work, and helps job seekers quickly master the core skills of the post. After completion of the projects, learners will be issued with virtual internship certificates, which support certificate verifications in future job-hunting background checks.
Learners who register a JobReady account with the email suffix @student.xjtlu.edu.cn or @xjtlu.edu.cn will receive a one-year V3 membership benefit.

NEW SEMESTER PREPARATION
We have done plenty of work in relation to the preparation of Semester 2 in Learning Mall platform. Except the work of new module creation, participant enrollment as we used to do, we also organized discussions with teaching faculty to optimize the module page settings and user permission settings. In addition, the resources on the dashboard of Learning Mall platform is also updated. So the information that most related to the beginning of the new semester will be put at the top of the dashboard. In summary, we are ready for the new semester.
